不改其乐的典故

东晋的戴逵从小聪慧过人，对绘画和雕塑很有造诣。

有一次，会稽灵宝寺请戴逵刻一尊一丈六尺高的无量寿佛佛像。佛像刻成了，围观者都称妙，可戴逵左看右看，总是不满意。怕别人不好意思提意见，戴逵就躲到屏风之后，听取参观者的评论、意见，然后進行修改，这样反复多次，三年后才完成。由于戴逵在佛像中溶入了中国人的形像，晋朝的佛像艺术自此别开生面。

戴逵淡泊名利，一生隐居不愿出来为官，而他哥哥则想着建立领兵拒敌的功业。太傅谢安对他哥哥说：“你们兄弟俩人的志向和事业为什么相差那么远呢？”他哥哥说：“因为我忍受不了那份清苦，而家弟也改变不了他的乐趣。”
