纸醉金迷的典故

唐朝时有一个高明的医生叫孟斧。当时他住在国都长安，经常被请到宫中帮皇帝和妃子们治病。因为经常出入皇宫，所以他对皇宫的一切都很熟悉，尤其孟斧看到皇宫里的人们总是过着荒淫奢侈的华丽生活，更是印象深刻。后来黄巢领导的起义军叛变攻打长安，他吓得急忙逃出长安，躲到四川。

在四川，孟斧因为想念皇宫中的生活，就根据记忆，模仿皇宫的装饰布置自己的家。他把家中布置得跟皇宫一样华丽，其中有一间光线很好的房间，孟斧把房间里所有东西的表面，全部都糊上一层黄金做成的薄纸。在阳光的照射下，满屋子金光闪闪，让人觉得像是住在金子做成的屋子里。所有到过这屋子的人都说：“在这个屋子里休息一会儿，就会沉迷陶醉在满屋的金纸里。”
