天下梅花何处奇，罗浮孤山最多姿。孤山已属后人植，罗浮焉有厥初枝。
从来花木因人显，秦松汉柏多传疑。滇中龙潭老梅树，人言植字三唐时。
传闻真赝难考稽，古香古色真纷披。苍皮僵卧连理碎，老干婆娑生意微。
谁知中有魂一缕，千秋风月此主持。有时连岁花不发，烟霞散乱碧苔滋。
忽然花开大如盏，一阶彤云春又归。为美人兮为高士，一洗凡世铅华空胭脂。
吾闻有唐一代多风雅，擘笺竞尚鼠姑祠。至今传者惟憬赋，灞桥驴背捻吟髭。
是时蒙诏据南中，花开花落人不知。五季沦胥代迁移，玉斧一画区东西。
剑南玉局不此到，云阶月地谁品题。从此沉沦三百载，孙李馀烬劫尘飞。
龙潭经几作战场，此梅不死非人为。人言花好神鬼护，我谓花老更精微。
檀心玉颊珊瑚株，千年琥珀结根围。孤高不入侯王第，冷落偏宜山涧溪。
三春白雪琴边弄，一声黄鹤笛里吹。琴边笛里遥相忆，阿盖陈元出香闺。
君不见，西洱河边万人冢，先朝空有战骨遗。又不见，点苍城南一片石，风雨剥蚀郑回碑。
风云战斗壮士老，将军壁垒秋草衰。惟有梅花一段春，罗浮孤山后先辉。
我今提壶向花间，举酒酬花一问之。翠羽啾啾几朝暮，金马嘶残碧鸡啼。
巡檐可许来索笑，踏残多少苍苔泥。消磨不尽群英雄，几人花下寄情痴。
天长岁月花应厌，怕愁贪睡开迟迟。花不言兮酒自斟，惆怅山头落日低。
祗今惟有空潭一轮月，搜尽人间枯肠万首诗。

牛焘（1794～1861）字涵万，丽江人，拔贡生，历任镇沅、安宁、邓川、罗平教官，有《寄秋轩稿》，家饶于赀而标寄萧然，蓄一雷氏琴，自谱新曲被之弦轸，同时马之龙能吹铁笛，郡中有“牛琴马笛”之目。咸、同之乱，焘避之山洞中，抱琴而死。剑川赵藩辑其诗七十余首刊入《丽郡诗征》中。
