东晋颍川鄢陵人，字仲初。庾东子。幼好学，九岁能属文。怀帝永嘉末，母没于石勒，阐不栉沐、不婚宦，绝酒肉垂二十年。西阳王司马羕辟为掾，迁尚书郎。成帝咸和二年苏峻反，出奔郗鉴，为司空参军。峻平，赐爵吉阳县男。出补零陵太守，官至给事中。年五十四卒。有诗赋铭颂，今已散佚不全。
