（467—493）南朝齐琅邪临沂人，字元长。王僧达孙。博涉有文才。举秀才，累迁太子舍人。竟陵王萧子良特相友好，为“西邸八友”之一。欲兴家业，上书武帝求自试，迁秘书丞。帝幸芳林园，禊宴朝臣，使融为《曲水诗序》，文藻富丽，当世称之。后子良复奉融为宁朔将军、军主。及武帝病笃，融欲矫诏立子良，事败，郁林王即位，收狱赐死。融文辞捷速，为永明体代表作家。今存《王宁朔集》辑本。
