宋洪州南昌人，字玉父。洪刍弟。哲宗元祐间进士。为谷城令。复知颍州上谯县，有循政。累官著作郎、秘书少监。高宗初召为中书舍人。与兄洪朋、洪刍及弟洪羽俱有才名，号四洪。诗酷似黄庭坚。有《西渡集》。
