明崇祯丙子（1636）举人，清顺治九年（1652）进士，敕授文林郎，任河南汜水知县，时中原方经战火洗劫，土地荒芜，民不聊生，流离失所，第赴任后，率先招徕失散流民，奖励垦殖，人民安居乐业，“编户数千家，辟地数万亩。”并捐修文庙，重兴学校，亲自将所携经史课授青少年，于是弦诵之声，遍于里巷，社会速趋稳定，颇有政声。著有《蛰庵集》，已佚，另星诗文存留于《南安县志》《诗山书院志》《蓬岛郭氏家谱》。
