译文
由于当初鹊鸟误传了相会的日子，牛郎和织女至今仍是愁苦不已的神仙。鹊桥在天上的银河岸边形成，人则在轻歌曼舞之中。
七夕时欢娱一夜，之后却分别一年。离别多而欢娱少又能拿上天怎么样？或是心知此次相会不长久，眼前的月亮也没有圆满。
注释
鹧鸪天：词牌名，又名“思佳客”、“思越人”、“醉梅花”、“半死梧”等，双调，五十五字，上下片各四句、三平韵。
佳期：原谓与佳人相约会，后通称欢聚之日。
鹊误传：神话传说，织女自归牛郎，两情缠绻，到女废织，男荒耕。天帝怒，责令织女归河东，使不得与牛部相会。后悔，令鹊传信，许二人七日得会一次。惟鹊误传为一年之七夕，使二人尝尽相思之苦。织女后知鹊误传，恨极，而髡鹊。鹊知己失言，故于七夕，群集河汉架梁以渡织女。
断肠仙：特指天上的牛郎和织女。
汉渚（zhǔ）：天上的银河岸边。汉，河汉，星河，银河，天空中由无数星星组成的光带。渚，洲渚，水中小块土地，此处指岸边。
莺歌凤舞：比喻轻歌曼舞。
经年：经过一年。
奈何：怎么，怎么办。
情知：心知。
无长计：不长久。
咫（zhǐ），八寸。咫尺，形容距离之近。
凉蟾（chán）：月亮，这里指七夕的新月。古代传说月中有蟾蜍，故以蟾指代月亮。

鹧鸪天·当日佳期鹊误传创作背景
在广东陆安（海丰）一带的民间传说中，牛郎和织女本为天上的神仙，婚后两人过于相爱以致荒废了工作，天帝愤怒，命乌鸦前去传话，但乌鸦笨嘴拙舌，误传作两人须每年七月七日才能相会一次。大概于某年七夕时，词人以此传说为切入点来吟咏七夕，借以抒发对不合情理之悲剧的无可奈何之情，具体创作时间不详。

鹧鸪天·当日佳期鹊误传鉴赏
此词开篇即言“佳期误传”，虽未将情事具体写出，为之断肠的情绪却可从“凉蟾亦未圆”所透出的缱绻深中体味出来。接着，过片的“欢尽夜，别经年。别多欢少奈何天”三句抒发无可奈何的感慨：牛郎、织女盼望一年才能一次相逢，七夕一夜纵然可以尽情欢乐，却抵挡不了三百六十四天的离别相思之苦，明明知道它不公平、不合理，可就是没法改变这样的事实。这不能解决的矛盾、不能愈合的创伤及不能消除的恨事无不透出七夕故事的“悲剧性”。与“身无彩凤双飞翼，心有灵犀一点通”是悲感中有幸福的慰藉相比，“情知此会无长计，咫尺凉蟾亦未圆”是哀痛之极时的心灰意冷。
全词以“星波”、“凉蟾”等构成的“奈何天”写GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>情人心理空间中的景致，又将其融于情致的抒发中，以强烈对比而造成艺术效果，如“欢尽夜”与“别经年”，“桥成汉渚星波外”与“人在鸾歌凤舞前”，而最主要的则是强烈的情意受到强烈的阻碍所造成的心情对比。

晏几道（1030-1106，一说1038—1110 ，一说1038-1112），男，汉族，字叔原，号小山，著名词人，抚州临川文港沙河（今属江西省南昌市进贤县）人。晏殊第七子。历任颍昌府许田镇监、乾宁军通判、开封府判官等。性孤傲，晚年家境中落。词风哀感缠绵、清壮顿挫。一般讲到北宋词人时，称晏殊为大晏，称晏几道为小晏。《雪浪斋日记》云：“晏叔原工小词，不愧六朝宫掖体。”如《鹧鸪天》中的“舞低杨柳楼心月，歌尽桃花扇底风”等等词句，备受人们的赞赏。
