译文
天子身居未央宫，妻妾来收拾衣裳。
现在未得皇上在紫宫宠爱，怎敢拂坐黄金床？
没有皇上的旨意，洪水来了也不敢乱走，如果皇上遇到危险，舍命也要保护皇上，就像博熊的冯婕妤一样。
卑微之身侍奉日月，轻飘若飞萤之光。
愿君采撷葑菲草的时候，不因为它的根部难看而抛弃它的叶片。
注释
《乐府古题要解》：有《秦王卷衣曲》，言咸阳春景及宫阙之美，秦王卷衣以赠所欢也。李白此诗内容与之不同。
未央：汉宫名。
紫宫：帝王宫禁。这里借指天子。
“水至”句：刘向《列女传·贞顺》：楚昭王出游，留妇人渐台之上而去。王闻江水大至，使使者迎夫人，忘持其符。夫人曰：“王与宫人约，令召宫人必以符，今使者不持符，妾不敢行。”于是使返取符，则水大至，台崩，夫人流而死。
“熊来”句：《汉书·外戚传》：建昭（汉元帝年号）中，上幸虎圈斗兽，后宫皆坐。熊佚出圈，攀槛欲上殿。左右贵人傅昭仪等皆惊走，冯婕妤直前当熊而立，左右格杀熊。上问：“人情惊惧，何故前当熊？”婕妤对曰：“兽得人而至，妾恐熊至御座，故以身当之。
“微身”句：为卷衣女自言全心身侍奉君王。日月，象征君王。
“愿君”句：意谓愿君王勿以自己身份身的低下，而忽视自己对君王的一片忠心。《诗经·邶风·谷风》：采葑采菲，无以下体。郑玄笺：“蔓菁与葍之类也，皆上下可食。然而其根有美时有恶时，采之者不可以其根恶时并弃其菜。”

秦女卷衣创作背景
乐府旧题有《秦王卷衣》，述秦王于春日卷衣赠所欢；此诗咏秦女侍奉天子，忠贞不渝，并借以自喻，题旨皆殊，但仍有一定联系，如皆述后宫之事，此为李白拟古乐府生新之一法。作年不详。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
