译文
清寒的夜里，银字笙吹出悠扬绵长的曲调，水纹竹席渐渐寒冷，画屏也越来越凉。雪白的玉腕上带着沉甸甸的金镯子，她梳理起淡淡的妆容。
几次伸手试香，纤纤玉手又暖又香；一回尝酒，脸庞像朱唇一样泛起红光。她假装嗔怪，舞弄起红丝蝇拂子，作势要打她心爱的情郎。
注释
山花子：唐教坊曲名，后用为词牌。此调在五代时为杂言《浣溪沙》之别名，即就《浣溪沙》的上下片中，各增添三个字的结句，故又名《摊破浣溪沙》或《添字浣溪沙》，《高丽史·乐志》名《感恩多令》。
银字：乐器名，管笛之属。古人用银作字，在笙管上标明音阶的高低。
水纹簟（diàn）：水纹席。
玉腕：洁白的手腕上带着金圈。
金扼（è）臂：手臂上所带的金圈、金镯之类的饰物。
试香：以手试探香炉。
绛（jiàng）：深红色。
蝇拂子：扑打蝇蚊的器物，用丝或马尾制成。
檀郎：晋潘安小字檀奴，姿仪秀美。后以檀郎为美男子的代称。

山花子·银字笙寒调正长创作背景
史中记载，词人少时即聪颖秀拔，十七岁之时便中进士。在奢靡的朝廷之中，免不了染些脂粉之气，再加上他年少有为，且又善作风流之词，身边自然不乏莺莺燕燕的佳人。这首《山花子》可能也是实录之作。

山花子·银字笙寒调正长鉴赏
这首词描摹淡妆美人与心上人共度良宵的情景，上片写其如怨如诉的弹奏，生动传神的描绘出女子与情郎相见时的浓情惬意。用寒、冷、凉三个字，形容管笛声与睡席、画屏。因景及人将她对深秋环境的感受写了出来，通过清凉环境的描写，引出一位淡妆美人的婉雅形象。下片写其强欢作乐的痛苦。用几度、一回、纤手暖、绛唇光来写试香、尝酒，颇为生动传神，进行细腻的动作描写，刻画其娇媚动人的情态。女子感觉到丝丝寒意，就几次伸出纤手，试着在香炉上取暖；她还微微地尝了一回酒，红色的嘴唇上轻泛着醇酒的晶莹光泽。然后，她玩起了爱情的小把戏，“佯弄”二句实则是爱意的流露和撩拨。细节刻画极为生动、传神，如此精细的观察令人身临其境，恍在目前，疑于化工之笔，从中我们也可以想见和凝填词时的专情与兴致。

和凝（898-955年），五代时文学家、法医学家。字成绩。郓州须昌（今山东东平）人。幼时颖敏好学，十七岁举明经，梁贞明二年(916)十九岁登进士第。好文学，长于短歌艳曲。梁贞明二年(916)进士。后唐时官至中书舍人，工部侍郎。后晋天福五年 (940)拜中书侍郎同中书门下平章事。入后汉，封鲁国公。后周时，赠侍中。尝取古今史传所讼断狱、辨雪冤枉等事，著为《疑狱集》两卷（951年）。子和（山蒙）又增订两卷，合成四卷。
