人如浮云，想留也留不住你，愿你随处安居，原谅我造化不够，想唤回你的生命也是徒然，愿你九天之上能够快乐，巧妙地嵌入逝者名、字。
你名闻大唐天下，你的诗篇光耀子孙，连孩童也会吟《长恨歌》，胡人也能唱《琵琶行》。
你的功德和声望行人尽知，我会常常想起你来。

吊白居易创作背景
唐宣宗不仅具有政治才能，也颇为爱好诗歌，他对白居易尤为敬重。但在唐宣宗即位后五个月，即会昌六年八月，七十五岁高龄的白居易不幸溘然长逝，唐宣宗不胜悲悼，以一往深情，写下了这首《吊白居易》。

吊白居易鉴赏
首联写白居易文学创作时间之长、贡献之大，并为之赞叹。诗篇一开始就对白居易的诗作推崇极高，对诗坛上这颗巨星的陨落表示了深切的惋惜之意。白居易在诗歌创作中经历了漫长的岁月，献出了毕生的精力，现存白居易诗中最早一首是《赋得古原草送别》，为应考习作，作于贞元三年（787），时年十六岁，到会昌六年（846）逝世，时年七十六。其实，据白居易《与元九书》所说，“及五六岁，便学为诗”，则他的诗歌创作活动尚不止六十年。像他这样很小就从事诗歌创作，一生坚持不懈的诗人，在唐代及唐代以前历史上不多见。诗中说“六十年”，满含赞叹之意。特别是以珍珠、美玉来比喻他的诗，不仅对他几十年的创作成绩给予了充分的肯定，而且表示了由衷的赞美。像这样一位成绩斐然的伟大诗人，忽然辞世，叫人万分痛惜。所以下句言“谁教冥路作诗仙？”上一句平平叙起，这一句即以问句承接，其中充满着痛惜的深情，蕴藏着丰富的含义。一方面，表现出作者对老臣的依依不舍之情，自己刚刚即位不久，正要利用万机之暇，来和这位敬仰已久的老诗人切磋诗艺，谁知道竟然来不及见面，就奄然去世了。“谁教”二字，饱含着对突然逝世的惊愕，和对老臣的无限爱惜。另一方面作者也隐然以白居易的知音自命，表现出对其理解和爱护。
中间两联，作者从老诗人的思想性格和诗歌成就两方面评价。这一联着重赞扬白居易不计名利、随遇而安、乐观豁达的思想性格。上一句使人联想到白居易年轻时谒见成名诗人顾况的情景，同时也使人联想到诗人一生多次遭贬、坎坷终生的情景，他像浮云一样，飘然不定，但又无处不悠然自得，专心从事诗歌创作。下一句接着说，造成这样的原因是因为他认识到“无为”是自然的规律，以“乐天”为字自勉。“无为”“知足”思想，是道家思想的核心，也是李唐王朝极力提倡的思想。
尾联则进一步直接表达了作者对白居易的器重、难以割舍和对白居易去世的无比悲怆之情。这是在颈联基础上的更进一步，“文章已满行人耳”，白居易的诗如风一般流行，与行人形影不离：你只要出行在外，就能听到吟诵白诗的声音。而作者听到吟诵之声，就会牵动起思念白居易的感情，内心充满无比悲伤与哀痛。
此诗为唐宣宗悼念白居易之作。诗中高度概括了白居易的创作历程，尤其用“童子解吟”和“胡儿能唱”，点出了白居易诗歌创作的风格及特点，用“已满行人耳”来形象地表明白居易之作品的影响及被欢迎的程度。此外，诗中还流露出作者对白居易之死的惋惜和伤感，这也是其性格和重视文学家的一种具体表现。同时诗中还反映出作者对白居易文学主张的认同。

唐宣宗李忱（810年冬月十二－859年），汉族，唐朝第十八位皇帝（847年—859年在位，未算武周政权），初名李怡，初封光王。武宗死后，以皇太叔为宦官马元贽等所立。在位13年。综观宣宗50年的人生，他曾经为祖宗基业做过不懈的努力，这无疑延缓了唐帝国走向衰败的大势，但是他又无法彻底扭转这一趋势。宣宗性明察沉断，用法无私，从谏如流，重惜官赏，恭谨节俭，惠爱民物，故大中之政，讫于唐亡，人思咏之，谓之小太宗。
