译文
五月是石榴花开得季节，杨柳被细雨润湿，枝叶低低沉沉地垂着。人们用五彩的丝线包扎多角形的粽子，煮熟了盛进镀金的盘子里，送给闺中女子。
这一天正是端午，人们沐浴更衣，想祛除身上的污垢和秽气，举杯饮下雄黄酒以驱邪避害。不时的，窗外树丛中黄鹂鸟儿鸣唱声，打破闺中的宁静，打破了那纱窗后手持双凤绢扇的睡眼惺忪的女子的美梦。
注释
妖艳：红艳似火。
生绡：未漂煮过的丝织品。古时多用以作画，因亦以指画卷。
浴兰：见浴兰汤。
惊破：打破。

农历五月初五是端午节。端午节始于中国的春秋战国时期，至今已有2000多年历史。端午节一直是一个多民族的全民健身、防疫祛病、避瘟驱毒、祈求健康的民俗佳节。

欧阳修（1007－1072），字永叔，号醉翁，晚号“六一居士”。汉族，吉州永丰（今江西省永丰县）人，因吉州原属庐陵郡，以“庐陵欧阳修”自居。谥号文忠，世称欧阳文忠公。北宋政治家、文学家、史学家，与韩愈、柳宗元、王安石、苏洵、苏轼、苏辙、曾巩合称“唐宋八大家”。后人又将其与韩愈、柳宗元和苏轼合称“千古文章四大家”。
