译文
我的家就在繁华的钱塘江畔，花开花落，任凭岁月流逝。而今燕子又要把美好的春光带走了，在这黄昏时节，纱窗外下起了一阵潇潇细雨。
我把犀梳斜插在头上，让头发半垂鬓边，敲响檀板，唱清丽的歌曲。抬眼望高空白云，不知它漂泊何处，梦醒后只见皎洁的明月从春江江畔冉冉升起。
注释
黄金缕：又名蝶恋花，词牌名。出自唐教坊曲，分上下两阕，共六十个字，一般用来填写多愁善感和缠绵悱恻的内容。
本：原，原本。
钱塘江：古称浙，最早见名于《山海经》，因流经古钱塘县（今杭州）而得名。
黄梅雨：长江中下游流域春末夏初黄梅季节下的雨，也叫“梅雨”、“霉雨”。此指绵绵细雨。
犀梳：犀牛角做成的梳子。
檀板:即拍板。
黄金缕：《黄金缕》，即《蝶恋花》调的别名，以冯延巳《蝶恋花》词中有“杨柳风轻，展尽黄金缕”而得名。
行云：指情人。
南浦：泛指离别地点。

黄金缕·家在钱塘江上住创作背景
据张耒《柯山集》载，司马制举中第，调关中第一幕官，行次里中，一日昼寐，恍惚间见一美妇人，衣裳甚古，人帘执板歌唱此词的上半阕，歌罢而去。司马因续成此曲。无论是司马故弄狡狯，假托本事，还是真有所梦，此词的著作权还是要归于他本人的。

黄金缕·家在钱塘江上住鉴赏
这是一首记梦的词，内容是写男女恋情。词人在梦中遇见一位家住钱塘的歌妓为他唱歌，他意有所恋，梦醒后写了这首词。
关于这首词的故事有两则传说。张耒的《柯山集》四十四：“司马槱，陕人……，制举中第，调关中第一幕官。行次里中，一日昼寐，恍惚间见一美妇人，衣裳甚古。入幌中执板歌曰：‘家在……黄昏雨。’歌阕而去。槱因续成一曲：‘斜插……生春浦。’后易杭州幕官。或云其官舍下乃苏小墓，而槱竟卒于官。”
又据何薳《春渚纪闻》卷七：“司马才仲初在洛下，昼寝，梦一美姝牵帷而歌曰：‘妾本钱塘……黄昏雨。’才仲爱其词，因询曲名，云是《黄金缕》。且曰：‘后日相见于钱塘江上。’及才仲以东坡先生荐，应制举中第，遂为钱塘幕官。其廨舍后，唐（按：应为南朝齐）苏小墓在焉。时秦少章（秦观）为钱塘尉，为续其词后云：‘斜插……生春浦。’不逾年而才仲得疾，所乘画水舆舣泊河塘。柁工遽见才仲携一丽人登舟，即前声喏，继而火起舟尾。狼忙走报，家已恸哭矣。”
两则传说情节虽有出入，但有一个共同点，即美女所唱乃这首词上片，而这唱歌美女就是南齐名妓苏小小的鬼魂。传说虽然荒唐无稽，但事出有因。揆诸情理，司马槱既在钱塘为官，或与歌妓相恋也是可能的。别后相思，形诸梦寐，乃托梦境以寄相思。而好事者附会其事，编造情节，也有可能。不论怎样，这首词当为司马槱所作无疑。
上片词既是梦中女子所唱，故以女人口吻来写。首句写女人自报住址。钱塘在宋代已是“参差十万人家”的繁华都会，“市列珠玑，户盈罗绮”（柳永《望海潮》），歌楼舞榭，自不待言。接着这位女子介绍她的生活和心情。“花落花开，不管年华度。”一年一度，花开花落，年复一年，几度春秋。花开花落，本自无情，而逝水年华，未免有恨。这已暗示了一位歌妓的心情。自叹“今年欢笑忽明年，秋月春风等闲度。”（白居易《琵琶行》）怨花开落，实是自怨。“荣衰花是寻常事，转为韶光恨不禁。”（袁枚《落花》）花“不管年华度”，女子自己却不能不管。但要管却又管不了。真是“无可奈何花落去”。（晏殊《浣溪沙》）
最恼人的还是燕子。它在黄昏细雨中飞来飞去，将落花春泥一起衔上雕梁。就在燕子衔来衔去中，春天竟偷偷地溜走了，似乎是被燕子衔走了。更何况细雨迷朦，黄昏黯淡，这凄迷的景色，更加深了这位歌女凄清愁苦的情绪。上片以景结情，情境深化，刻画了这位歌女“惆怅年华暗度”的微妙心理。
下片作者以自己的口气写与这位女子的相见和别后相思。先写女子美丽的形象，半月形的犀牛角梳斜插在乌黑如云的鬓边，好象一钩弯弯的明月从乌云中半吐出来一样，美丽极了。词人虽只写了这女子的犀梳云鬓，没有写她的容貌，但部分可代整体，从犀梳鬓如云吐新月之美，通过读者的审美联想可以推想她的容貌之美。这女子不仅以她容貌之美使词人怜爱，更以她动人的歌声使人倾倒。“檀板清歌，唱彻黄金缕”，她轻敲檀板，缓转珠喉，“一曲清歌，暂引樱桃破。”（李煜《一斛珠》）她唱的曲名《黄金缕》。《黄金缕》，即《鹊踏枝》调的别名，又名《蝶恋花》、《凤栖梧》。据《词谱》：“唐教坊曲，本名鹊踏枝，……冯延巳词有‘展尽黄金缕’句，名《黄金缕》。”可见《黄金缕》这个曲调本来自唐教坊，只不过当时名《鹊踏枝》，到南唐因冯延巳词而得今名。女子的歌声给词人留下了深刻的印象。词写至此，一个色艺俱佳的歌妓形象已活生生地站在读者面前了。正当词人情绪达到高潮时，突然转折：“望断行云无去处，梦回明月生春浦。”女子的形象突然消失了。“行云”，用巫山神女“旦为朝云，暮为行雨”典故，再次点明她的歌妓身份。丽人芳踪已杳，无处追寻。惟有一轮明月渐渐从春浦升起，一切都成梦幻，令人低回宛转，不胜惆怅。据《云斋广录》卷七载：“司马槱赴阙调官，得馀杭幕客，拏舟东下，及过钱塘，因忆曩昔梦中美人，自谓‘妾本钱塘江上住’。今至于此，何所问耗，君意凄恻，乃为词以思之，调寄《河传》。君讴之数四，意颇不怿。”词中有“芳草梦惊，人忆高唐惆怅。感离索，甚情况。……人去雁回，千里风云相望。倚江楼，倍凄怆。”这首词意可以与《黄金缕》互为补充。《黄金缕》的故事如果排除这些荒诞情节，还是有一定的事实根据的。并且这种恋情对词人有长期的深远的影响。
