译文
黄昏余晖之下，厅堂前面鲜花娇美。一群可爱绣女，争拿笔上绣床写生。
绣成美丽屏风，静静放进花园，逗得黄莺好奇，离开柳条飞来。
注释
此诗一本题作《咏绣障》。绣障：刺绣屏风。绣样：描画刺绣图样，用针刺绣前的一道工序。
花蕊（ruǐ）娇：双关语，一指刺绣图样，一喻刺绣少女。花蕊：花心。娇：美丽鲜艳。
拈（niān）：用两三个指头捏住。床：指绣花时绷绣布的绣架。床：指绣花架。
安：安置，摆放。
下柳条：从柳树枝条上飞下来。
观郑州崔郎中诸妓绣样鉴赏
首句“日暮”、“堂前”点明时间、地点。“花蕊娇”，花朵含苞待放，娇美异常──这是待绣屏风（绣障）上取样的对象。
首句以静态写物，次句则以动态出人：一群绣女正竞相拈取小巧的画笔，在绣床上开始写生，描取花样。那看到花开娇美，争先恐后的模样，眉飞色舞的神态和动作的轻灵优美，如一幅自然的画卷都从“争”字中隐隐透出。“拈”，是用三两个指头夹取的意思，见出动作的轻灵，姿态的优美。这一句虽然用意只在写人，但也同时带出堂上的布置：一边摆着笔架，正对堂前的写生对象（“花蕊”），早已布置好绣床。和动作的轻灵优美，如一幅自然的画卷。
三四句写“绣成”以后绣工的精美巧夺天工：把完工后的绣屏风安放到春光烂漫的花园里去，虽是人工，却足以乱真，连黄莺都上当了，离开柳枝向绣屏风飞来。末句从对面写出，让乱真的事实说话，不言女红之工巧，而工巧自见。而且还因黄莺入画，丰富了诗歌形象，平添了动人的情趣。
从二句的“上床描”到三句的“绣成”，整个取样与刺绣的过程都省去了，像“花随玉指添春色，鸟逐金针长羽毛”（罗隐《绣》）那样正面描写绣活进行时飞针走线情况的诗句，在这首诗中是找不到的。
胡令能诗风清丽，富有情趣，散发着浓郁的生活气息，堪称唐诗园囿中奇香扑鼻的山花野草。这首《观郑州崔郎中诸妓绣样》就有这样的特点。此诗头两句是现场目击，后两句是合理想象，既有情趣，又有意趣。语言明白如话，意境明丽如画。这样的诗，现代人解读毫不费力，且清新可爱，足见其有超越时空的魅力。
沈德潜在论及题画诗时说：“其法全在不粘画上发论。”（《说诗晬语》卷下）“不粘”在绣工本身，不以正面敷写争巧，而是以映衬取胜，也许这就是这首诗在艺术上成功的主要奥秘。

胡令能（785-826年），唐诗人，隐居圃田（河南中牟县）。唐贞元、元和时期人。家贫，年轻时以修补锅碗盆缸为生，人称“胡钉铰”。他的诗语言浅显而构思精巧，生活情趣很浓，现仅存七绝4首。唐贞元、元和时期人。莆田隐者，唐诗人少为负局锼钉之业。梦人剖其腹，以一卷书内之，遂能吟咏，远近号为胡钉铰。诗四首，皆写得十分生动传神、精妙超凡，不愧是仙家所赠之诗作。
