译文
黄昏的天空宽广悠长，秋天的江水多么苍茫。山腰上夕阳落下，大雁的孤影映照着夕阳。粉红的唇齿间淌出香艳的歌曲，我还记得在当年游船上的往事。那时的我在秋风中落下泪水，那泪水沾湿了衣裳。我们把金钗分开作纪念，鹦鹉螺杯里斟满了酒浆。我们却像一对鸳鸯被活活拆散。
注释
普天乐：曲牌名，四十六字。
晚：傍晚。长：指秋江水长。
璧月词：艳歌。南朝陈后主曾为张贵妃、孔贵嫔作歌，有“璧月夜夜满，琼树朝朝新”之句。
鹦鹉：指用鹦鹉螺（一种海螺）螺壳制作的酒杯。
普天乐·秋江忆别创作背景
此曲是作者在一次秋行江畔中，回忆起于此情境相同的一次别离，有所感触，于是写下了这支小令。

普天乐·秋江忆别鉴赏
首先“晚天长，秋水苍”一句，既有远景——广阔的天空，也有近景——苍茫的江水。全曲一开始就将镜头由远及近，描绘了一幅广阔的斜暮江景图画。接着“山腰落日，雁背斜阳”，这是中景，夕阳西下，落至半山腰上，斜阳落在低翔的大雁的背上。
接下来诗人由景生情：“壁月词，朱唇唱，犹记当年兰舟上”，很自然地由眼前的“秋江”之景过渡到了“忆别”的思绪。“犹记当年兰舟上”一句巧妙地化用李清照的《一剪梅》中“红藕香残玉簟秋，轻解罗裳，独上兰舟”一句。“洒西风，泪湿罗裳”，伴着飒飒的西风和哀怨的曲子，相别恋人，不住满心伤感的恋人双双潸然泪下，浸透衣衫。
最后，诗人用排比手法来描写恋人分手时的情景：“钗分凤凰，杯斟鹦鹉，人拆鸳鸯。”凤凰钗，一分为二，斟满鹦鹉杯相互践行，诗人和恋人终于不得不接受残酷的现实——恩爱情侣不得不天各一方。“凤凰”“鹦鹉”“鸳鸯”都是鸟类，并且在自然界都是以成双成对的形式出现的，当然在这里各自被赋予了不同的意义。这种排比，更是渲染了一种伤感凄凉的氛围，读来令人哀婉、叹息。
诗人在回忆中追叙离别的场面，那“壁月词，朱唇唱”和“洒西风，泪湿罗裳”的实景，“杯斟鹦鹉，人拆鸳鸯”的落空心境，虚虚实实，都深深刻在诗人的脑海，而结尾处表达的明明相爱的恋人却被迫分开的无奈与怨恨之情，更是感人至深。

赵善庆（？-1345年后），元代文学家。一作赵孟庆，字文贤，一作文宝，饶州乐平（今江西乐平县）人。《录鬼簿》说他「善卜术，任阴阳学正」。著杂剧《教女兵》、《村学堂》八种，均佚。散曲存小令二十九首。《太和正音谱》称其曲「如蓝田美玉」。
