译文
你就要离开家乡，奔赴万里之外的军营，通往金陵的驿路上，楚地的白云似乎也同你一样，渐渐地向西飘去。
长江两岸的春色留不住你的脚步，青青的绿草也在为你送行。
注释
李判官：诗人的一位朋友，任判官一职。
润州：州名，在今江苏镇江市。
行营：主将出征驻扎之地。
事鼓鼙（pí）：从事军务。鼓鼙，军用乐器。
金陵：一般指今江苏省南京市，但唐代时把润州也称为金陵，这里即指润州。
楚云西：古代楚国地方的西部，这里指送别的所在。
行客：过客；旅客。
草色青青：形容草长得好（多用于形容春天的美景）。

送李判官之润州行营创作背景
盛唐时期，诗人送朋友李判官到润州（今江苏省镇江）去执行军务活动，深厚的友情无以言表，于是诗人创作了这首诗为朋友送行。

送李判官之润州行营鉴赏
“万里辞家事鼓鼙”是说李判官将要辞别家人与亲朋好友，不远万里到润州去从事军务。诗人想要强调的，一是行人路途的遥远；一是行人履行公务的特殊性，是要去执行军务。这便暗含了诗人为他送行的原因和忧虑。因为古代交通工具极不发达，即使最快捷的交通工具也无非是北人骑马南人乘船而己。所以古代的分别往往不是意味着“西出阳关无故人”，便是意味着“人生不相见，动辄参与商”了。更何况李判官这次是到山重水阻的润州去“事鼓鼙”。诗人一再说明行人所去之地的遥远，这里又进一步暗寓着诗人为行人命运未卜而深深忧虑。
“金陵驿路楚云西”就是从地理座标系上为我们标出李判官所去之地的方位。诗里说金陵的驿路直通楚地之西。这里的金陵即润州，因为按照唐代行政区域的划分，润州也属于金陵的辖区。
“江春不肯留行客”一方面点出了这次送别的时间是春天，另一方面诗人又移情于物，抱怨那逝者如斯的江水和一年一度的春花为什么不愿意挽留远行客。
“草色青青送马蹄”，化用了“青青河畔草，绵绵思远道”的意境，同时也是诗人与行者难舍难分的送行场面的真实写照。两位友人并驾驱马，踏着河畔青草缓缓前行。

刘长卿(约726 — 约786)，字文房，汉族，宣城（今属安徽）人，唐代诗人。后迁居洛阳，河间（今属河北）为其郡望。玄宗天宝年间进士。肃宗至德中官监察御史，后为长洲县尉，因事下狱，贬南巴尉。代宗大历中任转运使判官，知淮西、鄂岳转运留后，又被诬再贬睦州司马。德宗建中年间，官终随州刺史，世称刘随州。
