译文
碧绿的淮水映照着屋门，我挽留的心意十分诚恳。
明月代我为客人送行，我的心绪却如春潮翻滚不息。
注释
郭司仓：作者的朋友。司仓，管理仓库的小官。
淮（huái）水：淮河，发源于河南桐柏山，流经安徽、江苏，注入长江。
留骑（jì）：留客的意思。骑，坐骑。
良掾（yuàn）：好官吏，此指郭司仓。掾，古代府、州、县属官的通称。
送郭司仓创作背景
该诗是王昌龄在夜里为送别朋友郭司仓而写的诗[。诗人看到高升的明月，想到借其来比喻朋友将要高升（官职）的发展，同时，诗人不但希望他能高官厚禄，而且希望他能成为清正廉明的好官，因此作下该诗。

送郭司仓鉴赏
这是一首表达友谊的作品，是一首送别诗。全篇写出了诗人对朋友的深厚感情，感情表达得十分细致。
诗的开头用了画意般的描写，点明时间和地点。这是临水的地方，淮河碧绿的颜色被映在门上，应该是晚上吧，白天太阳下水的影子应该是闪烁不定的，不能看清楚颜色。只有静夜下平静的水面才会将绿色抹在人家的门户上吧。当然做这个推测，也因为诗人后面还写有留客的句子，应该天色已晚主客都有了不便之处，诗人才会生出挽留的心意吧。后面的两个短句都有祝福的意思。尤其用渐渐高升的明月来比喻朋友将要得到的发展，表明诗人不但希望他能高官厚禄，而且希望他能成为清正廉明的好官，诗人真是在用善良的心对待朋友。春季的淮河潮水会夜夜高涨，诗人用潮水来形容自己对朋友的思念之心，这里即使有夸张地一面，但是也很形象化了那看不见的心绪，诗人的思念一下子变生动了。比喻的作用有说明，也有加深理解的一面。
作者以淮水之绿表明主人留客之心殷殷切切，以明月、春潮来表达分别之愁，从环境入手，让周围景物表达出自己的心情和思想，这种手法在王昌龄送别诗中占大多数。
这首作品里对朋友的心意写得具体又深厚，选材有特点，而且素材的针对性也强。

王昌龄 (698— 756），字少伯，河东晋阳（今山西太原）人。盛唐著名边塞诗人，后人誉为“七绝圣手”。早年贫贱，困于农耕，年近不惑，始中进士。初任秘书省校书郎，又中博学宏辞，授汜水尉，因事贬岭南。与李白、高适、王维、王之涣、岑参等交厚。开元末返长安，改授江宁丞。被谤谪龙标尉。安史乱起，为刺史闾丘所杀。其诗以七绝见长，尤以登第之前赴西北边塞所作边塞诗最著，有“诗家夫子王江宁”之誉（亦有“诗家天子王江宁”的说法）。
